I have decided to take a Blogging Hiatus for the Summer.
Due to different factors, including, but not limited to the fact that my readership is apparently down, and the time I take to piece some of these together (mainly on one of my other blogs), I think this is the best option for me at this time.
There's chance that I will post once in a while while on this hiatus. But I am looking for this to be once in a blue moon, of sorts. I have a lot on my plate. And I feel that I must remove some of my "activities", with Blogging being one of them. And quite possibly, using Twitter, as well.
I'm hopeful that you all will understand. But it's time to put my family, Summer activities (if any) and above all things, MYSELF first, above the Blogosphere.
Thanks for understanding. And I'll see ya around, my friends.
P.S. ~ I plan on posting this in all four of my pages.
A blog about my life as a Stay-At-Home Mom, and other aspects of it. As well as my thoughts/feelings on different subjects.
My work is ORIGINAL...Don't be a thief.

Tuesdays From The Terrarium
A "plog" (pic blog) light-hearted look in to the world of reptilian ownership, love and companionship.
Our Bearded Dragon can be a real character at times. Now, Gobi has come to "know" his meal times and knows what certain food containers look like. Especially the "margarita" shaker I use to coat the crickets with D3 Calcium Supplement Powder.
Gobi goes NUTS! Yesterday, the dude actually JUMPED (more like flew) off his perch under his basking light, and hit face-first in to the tank glass to get to the crickets. All the while, pacing back and forth in longing wait to get his grub on.
As of yesterday, Gobi now is getting collard greens in his veggie mix. We have yet to see how he likes it, being the little bugger skipped his veggie meal last night.
As promised last week, I'll have pictures below of what Gobi eats and of his new living quarters.
Ready? Here we go...
(Setting up to fix Gobi's veggies mixture.)
(He loves sweet potatoes. And carrots. He's also big on the leafy greens.)
(This looks so good, there are times that I want to eat the stuff!)
And here is Gobi's new penthouse suite. Believe me, he has really gotten more personality and more of a liveliness about him since moving him from his cramped little ten gallon tank, in to his massive 40 gallon.
(This is Gobi's old tank. He was getting so cramped up. And he wasn't very happy.)
(Gobi's new palace. He can live in this one for the rest of his days.)
(He's one happy dragon!)

Tuesdays From The Terrarium
Today is Tuesday. So, it's time for another installment of "Tuesdays From The Terrarium". It's the day for Gobi, our family's Bearded Dragon, to shine, be seen and talked about.
It's what I call a "plog", or a post full of pictures of our beloved Gobi, with at times, a funny caption of what he may have said (if he could speak, of course). All in all, it's just a light-hearted look in to the world of reptilian ownership, love and companionship.
("What you lookin' at, bub?!?!")
(Gobi's now-cramped terrarium cage. He's growing fast!)
(Gobi's taken a big liking to my nephew, who is still a bit timid about him. Mainly when he walks fast or jumps.)
(Snack time! Mealworms. YUMMY!!)
("Now you see me.")
("Let's play 'Find The Gobi.")
Next week, you will get to see Gobi's new digs (40 gal. terrarium tank), what kinds of foods he likes to munch on and whatever other things I can catch him doing on camera.
Gobi says have a great week!

Musical Monday
Along with "Tuesdays From The Terrarium", I'm going to also do Musical Mondays where I will post a music video and say WHY I like it or why I'm posting it.
Today is a 90's hit (the decade where I REALLY came in to music). By En Vogue, "Free Your Mind".
The stand out lyric for me is.. "I can't look without being watched/,no
You rang my buy before I made up my mind,ow/ Oh now attitude, why even bother
I can't change your mind, you can't change my color"
Even now in the second decade of the new century, this kind of thinking STILL happens. Be with those of a minority color, a way of dress or physical appearance.

Tuesdays From The Terrarium
I think I'm going to make Tuesday's a day for Gobi, our family's Bearded Dragon, to shine, be seen and talked about. And so hence the name for today's post, Tuesdays From The Terrarium". Postings of pictures of our beloved Gobi, with at times, a funny caption of what he may have said (if he could speak, of course). Just a light-hearted look in to the world of reptilian ownership, love and companionship.
And believe me, Gobi's personality is really starting to flourish. As are his funny antics.
(Skyler and Gobi decided playtime was too hard of a job.)
(They crashed hardcore. Gobi loves being under a blanket.)
(He (or she, have yet to figure it out) is doing the model/security check thing.)
("Did you brush your teeth, Hayley? Dentist Gobi needs to inspect...Good job!")
(Gobi's becoming accustomed to riding on our shoulders. He LOVES it. Though, we aren't loving the claws digging in to our skin if we have on sleeveless shirts.)
("So....Jump or not to jump? I think not!")
("Hey, Ma! Get to blogging already!!")
("My turn! Hmmm...What secrets can I spill on my blog?)

Would you care to be a *FEATURED* Blogger?
I'd love to have a new little "getting to know you" adventure. How would you like to be a feature guest? Gain a little exposure, and get possibly some new followers as well.
Thanks to Vic, who runs a WONDERFUL blogging community, For The Love Of Blogs, I've thought about doing this for some time, but just never got the "balls" to try it out. But now, why the heck not?
So, if you feel like this may be of interest, feel free to leave me a comment and I will get back to you. I'd like to model it after FTLOB and Vic's way of running it. From there, I will contact you via your private email address with the instructions and my return email addy, as to send me the finished product.
Basically, you will write a blog post about yourself, your life, and your blog. And it would be great to have some pictures included, and of course a link to your blog, as to let the readers find your direct page.
Each weekend, the featured blogger will change over. Each Sunday, a new Blogger will have the page to themselves.
**Entries must be in no later than the next Saturday.**

*FEATURED* Blogger of the Week (Week 1)
"Featured" Blogger; for a newbie that stirs-up little chills that scoot up, and down, the spine. Suddenly, after sharing your thoughts, experiences, recipes and more, people take notice of you and little doors pop open with smiling faces on the other side. It's very exciting!
My door is wide open in return; you are so very welcome to come inside for a visit. By the way, my name is Patty.
Coffee is ready, served in one of my favorite Robinson Ransbottom mugs and, right over there, on a table, is the rough draft of a book I'm writing called "Another cookie, please!"
What's the book about?
This collection of memories is a bittersweet journey through my late mother's difficult life and later battle with dementia. Ironically, I became the caregiver for that parent who, for years, turned her back on the abuse of her only child. Somehow, I've grown to become an old married lady of 40 years, mother of 3, grandmother of 4 and a fairly productive woman. Then, a few months ago, I entered the world of blogging.
My humble creation can be found here.
http://anothercookieplease.blogspot.com/
What do I do?
Well, as a licensed hairstylist, I have the privilege of being a support specialist to women suffering from cancer, helping them maintain a positive outlook and appearance as they go through treatment and look ahead to recovery. My nickname "Slidecutter" pertains to a style of hair cutting/texturing done with shears specific to that procedure. Just thought that needed explaining..
Where am I from?
Upstate New Yawk...New York for anyone else. We have our own little accent here, in The Empire State and it's true about that "New York minute"; everything we do is at warp speed and 24 hours in a day is never enough!
Why do I blog?
Through the eventual publishing of my little book, and blogging, my hope is to reach out to other caregivers who might be struggling, who are angry and overwhelmed with the consuming task of caring for a loved one afflicted by dementia, other illness or disorder. I don't pretend to be an expert and I'm very candid, even sarcastic, in my opinions at times, especially now that I've gotten past the fear of being judged as I share several personal experiences in my postings; things like dealing with my own ADD, and my son's ADHD. For years, I've managed to deal with the ups & downs of this disorder, focusing on the creative things I love doing most while always fighting that battle to stay organized in other areas.
As I read over blogs from so many kindred spirits, I've been learning to step beyond my own sadness while finding there are so many positive things I can share with others. There is such a wonderful menu of creativity and meaningful posts to choose from; each day brings a refreshing new delight.
You're invited to visit me at http://anothercookieplease.blogspot.com/ , leave a comment and follow if you really would like to do so; if not, thanks so much for stopping here today!
**Message from Missy.. Tomorrow's Bible Q&A (be sure to read if you partic.)
READERS...
Please know that there is a good chance that I will not be able to get to doing the next installment for my new series, 'Bible Q&A Day'.
For one thing, the upcoming verse "in question" has an extremely long answer attached to it. And seeing as I type out word for word from the book that this series is being made possible, it may just be too much for me at the moment.
There's seemingly a problem arising with one of my kids. And I can't say from one minute to the next, let alone at this point, from second to second, what's going to happen.
To get a better understanding of the "ordeal", I urge you to READ THIS POST.
Thanks to everyone for your support with the new series, and for your hopeful understanding in my having to already "break" when we've just gotten started.
