"Fawk You Friday!" With Angel and BBB.

I'm certainly in need of a good FUF post today. And I rightfully deserve it. Don't like it? Then FAWK OFF!

BWS tips button

Fawk You!! Blogger. You screwed up EVERYONE'S stuff. What was to be "routine" maintenance, turned in to the Blogosphere's version of Hell. I lost a follower on EACH of my four blogs. I have wonky-looking link tags and lost ALL my comments from my readers on the blogs you were so kind to (finally) find and put back up.

FAWK YOU!! To sensitive people who can't take a damn joke. What was SUPPOSED to be a lighthearted look at what I saw coming as a SAH mom with Summer Break looming, turning in to YET ANOTHER "Mommy War".

FAWK YOU!! To a friend (yes I still love her, but she crossed the line) who while I understand you were defending your sister, she was doing a fine job of it on her own. But YOU my dear just had to go the fuck off on a tangent when the misunderstanding was CLEARLY over, seeing as NEITHER of us (me and the other sister in question) said anything more.

FAWK YOU!! This one goes out to certain family members (mainly one in question) who I'm tired of having to "cater to". It's not fair that I basically HAVE TO do x, y or z but get nothing in return unless I practically beg. Or say that you (the one certain family member) are my last resort.

But YOU expect EVERYONE to take you places, help pick up YOUR kid and to watch said kid. It's NOT OUR fault that you have no license (because honestly you are too lazy, not that you can't due to legalities at this point), have no other mode of transportation, have no REAL and steady job (sorry but working privately "under the table" isn't going to pay the bills and using the 'I need more money to do this/that job and I'm too good for that job' attitude ain't helping ya).

And you pay NO ONE a damn dime for ANY of the shit we all do for you. And we are ALL tired of being used. It costs MONEY that we really do NOT have in our pockets to burn the extra gas. And you go off and get all pissy if one of says no to taking you somewhere or can't because of a prior obligation. Last I checked, we also had a life and are NOT the center of the universe, either.

FAWK YOU!! To the "help" for my husband at work. Must be nice to (on average) get 3 out of 4 Saturdays off every month. Especially being that YOU are on the bottom (pretty much) of the Seniority Totem Pole.

If my husband is not allowed to have NEXT Saturday off for what will be the last HUGE Family Reunion (where EVERYONE from both sides of his late grandfather's side of the family) for us before his Grandmother passes (who says she KNOWS she hasn't got much longer herself and has pretty much given up since his passing where being alone is concerned) then I truly think that the UNION Reps should have it brought to their attention. Because last I checked, SENIORITY rules. And you my friend are NOT above my husband anywhere in that store.

My husband busts HIS ass more so than the other guy EVER does but the "help" gets "rewarded" with his (every weekend) request to have Saturday off. Something is VERY wrong with this picture. Must be nice to have EVERY effing Saturday off with YOUR family.

True, my husband gets Sundays off (for the most part), but those are "automatic" due to his boss's scheduling preference and the fact it is scheduled around the truck's schedule of when they drop off orders. NOT because my husband pencils in Sundays off EVERY effing week. Big difference.

Shooo!!! I feel somewhat better after unloading all that crap off my barely-there chest. Next week won't be too much better. I have to be at the school almost every single day for something or another, being it's the last week of school. But it's going to be a FUN week.

Laters!

Fab Friends Will Understand When I Say "FAWK YOU".

Yes, indeedy. I am once again jumping on two wagons at one time. Who knew I could do the splits? This week, I am joining in with Angel and Boobies in "FAWK YOU FRIDAY", and also joining Vic and For The Love Of Blogs in Fab Friends Friday.

For one, we ALL need FRIENDS that we can bitch and whine to here and there. And of course lend a reciprocating ear.

Also there are times that you just want to tell someone or something happening within your world.. FAWK YOU!

Want to join in the fun, then join in with us!

BWS tips button

1. FAWK YOU!!..To the dreaded tummy bug. Your ass hasn't been to my home ALL Winter long. Now you wait until TODAY to smack my son with yourself? And on a Friday for one. And on a BEAUTIFUL and very Spring-like day where I could have gone for a walk and volunteered for once, seeing as I have missed almost a month.

2. FAWK YOU!!.. School system. You have screwed my kid over for long enough. Now I'm bringing out the big guns. Disability Rights Advocates. Told ya I'm not one to trifle with.

3. FAWK YOU!... To a certain family member who thinks that people will just drop what they are doing as to do something for them at the very last second. It's called work around your schedule better. Last time I checked you were an adult.

4. FAWK YOU!.. To debilitating disorders. You really played with my kid last Thursday. He didn't know if he was coming or going because of his extremely risen anxiety level and not knowing how to "act accordingly" (when to cry, mainly) during the experience of attending his first funeral.

5. FAWK YOU!! To family and/or friends alike who decide to "shy away" from my kid who is different. If only you really TOOK TIME to "know" your cousin or nephew. Yes, he is jittery and talks fast. Or stumbles on words and sentences. Or hugs himself constantly. But damn.. He IS still a human being who needs ALL the family SUPPORT that he can get. And above all, UNDERSTANDING.

6. FAWK YOU!..To myself for not writing this over on The "Mental-ist" Mom now that I realize the patter of this post. LMAO!

I *HAD* A 'Fab Friend' a few Friday's Ago

It's that time again over at For The Love Of Blogs for Fab Friends Friday.

While I relish in participating normally, I had contemplated for most of this week as to whether I should even write this post or not, seeing as so much in my family's life is going on. But here it goes..

There's a friend of mine from a good while back that has seemed to have distanced themselves from me and a few of our mutual friends. We met about three years ago via an internet website. From there, we were practically inseparable, going and joining other sites together as we found them and figured the other would enjoy being there as well.

But in the recent weeks of past, if not about a month or even longer, seeing as I'm really not keeping count this person has strayed and basically "dropped" our friendship off on the wayside.

Yes, both of us have a lot going on. But I have tried to get "something" from the person to acknowledge that I indeed exist in their world. We both are on FaceBook together. But alas, my words fell on "deaf eyes".

I'd noticed the change after this person started writing in their blog of things that NORMALLY, I'd never see from this person, seeing as in all honesty, was very highly out of context for the blog's "theme of writing" that I had come to know and even respect.

But now, this person does nothing but writing prompts and blog carnivals at least 95% of the time. No longer do I see REAL substance in the writing. So I had decided after somethings that were written of a "personal" nature and more than my eye's fair share of writing prompts, to un-follow their blog.

And then I finally stopped following the person on Twitter as well, thanks to never being "spoken" to anymore over there in any way, shape or form. Between both places, this "friend" has yet to even acknowledge that I am no longer on either of their lists as a follower. Or realized we are no longer even "speaking" with one another.

This past week has apparently been REALLY hard on both of us. But unlike them, I made it no "secret" as to what has happened within my family. Not on here, Twitter or FaceBook.

The ONE person that I thought that I could count on, the one I was SURE would be there for me, my husband and our children was nowhere. Not to say sorry to my kids for their loss or to my husband who lost his beloved grandfather.

Yes, I did write something on their wall. But to no avail. And because I didn't know until after the fact of what they are going through, what I had written in some ways I wish I didn't. But then again...

Needless to say, even that post I made on their wall went unnoticed and/or just ignored of acknowledgment.

This person KNOWS I don't do the "one-sided, one-way-street, all give-and-no get" type of friendship.

This person talks with a certain other friend on all these sites ALL of the time. Acknowledging their posts on their page, and converses on their own page when said friend posts there.

If that's how it's going to be, then I think that this person just needs to tell me that our friendship is over. Because obviously I'm not running with the right "clique" or the "cool crowd" of bloggers. Or on Twitter for that matter.

I'm honestly DONE trying.

I don't have a blog button for it, seeing as I suck at doing those. But here is the link to the VERY FIRST post on the page (there's two others already as well for you to read)... The "Mental"-ist Mom. I urge EVERYONE here that stops in to join it and see what life is TRULY like for him and other kids like him. And for us parents of kids in his shoes.

One last thing... BEFORE YOU LEAVE HERE!!... Feel free to LINK UP (below) seeing as it's a 'blog hop' day and I like helping FTLOB out, and my fellow writers. READ BELOW FIRST *BEFORE* linking.. And have a great weekend.

The *ONLY* stipulation I have is to please LEAVE A *GENUINE* COMMENT here on my page to show that you have read it. Not a copy/paste thing or a "I followed you/follow me back" comment... I am okay with people stating if they came from another blog hop and found me. But I don't play the "followed you/follow me back" game.

**If you cannot abide by that one simple rule for linking on my page, I wish for you to NOT link it at all, nor even leave a COMMENT on my page.

If *anyone* is caught breaking the rules for MY BLOG PAGE and the way I wish to run MY blog hop/link up, then the comment and/or blog link and button will be DELETED.

I hope you understand. Thanks.. Now get hopping and linking, everyone!

25 Days of Christmas (Day 17)

For the last 12 days of Christmas, I will be posts to "break down" the Christmas Carol, "Twelve Days Of Christmas" by focusing on what each line is speaking of (Partridge, Turtle Doves, etc.) and their meanings and/or what they truly are. Just little facts and trivia things.

*HINT* ... Each day, the verse of choice will be BOLDED and highlighted.

On the fifth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

YAY!! We have *finally* moved on from the aviary portion of the song and on to something more along my taste. Well, actually, pretty much ANY woman's taste.

GOLD!! And not just any kind of gold. But five...count them, *FIVE* golden rings. Now that's my kind of man right there, ladies!

Being that this is honestly a hard one to explain and has tons of history, I decided to COPY/PASTE information from Google Timeline Chart about Gold

Five Question Friday with Megan at The World As I See It.

After noticing Megan, over at The World As I See It do one of these, it looks like something I just had to try out.

So, here is my answers for Five Question Friday...

1. Did you have a favorite blanket or toy as a kid? If so, do you still have it? Yep! I most certainly did. It was handmade by my great-aunt, Anne (from whom I received my middle name from).

2. Do you dream in color? Pretty much, all of the time. Though I do like black/white dreaming too. Makes you feel like you are in an old-time movie (like Casablanca).

3. How tall are you? Do you wish you were shorter or taller? I'm 5-foot-even. Technically, by DNA standards, I should be between 5 ft.,3 in. and 5 ft.,8 in. tall. But, thanks to the 50 LB. tumor my mother carried as my close next door neighbor within the womb, I was a little crunched for space to grow normally.

4. If you could have anyone's (celeb or other) voice as the guide on your GPS, who would it be? Do I really, honestly HAVE TO answer this one?? Because if you REALLY knew me, then the answer should be as plain as the nose on my face.

5. Do you return your shopping cart to the corral or leave it wherever in the parking lot? All of the time, do I return the cart to a corral, or even in to the store it's self, if I'm parked close enough. As a former retail employee of three different grocery chains, I hated having to fetch carts from between cars, or even from neighboring retailer's areas.

Hair, sleeping, and timing. It's all relevant.

How many times have you said to yourself that you are mad at YOU, because you had that rare chance to sleep in? Try having that conversation with yourself every stinking weekend!

Yep. Try as I may, I can never really (for the most part) sleep past 6:30 in the morning. Why?

Because (now) three out of seven days a week (used to be five out of seven), I was used to having my husband get up at 5:30 every work day to be on the clock at six. Hence, I would go back off to Dreamland, only to wake an hour later (okay, forty-five minutes...geez!).

Now his hours have changed and I'm scared to think that between his new, wacky schedule, and the kids that THINK that they run the roost, that I may end up pulling my (now even more gray) hair out. Now it's three days a week, be there at six. One day a week, at FOUR IN THE MORNING! And one day a week, it's the 1:30 to ten at night shift.

Speaking of grays. I have harbored new ill-willed feelings towards my hair. Folks, I am only thirty-three Yes! Thirty-three. And already, I have the hair color of a fifty-something. And these stupid, gray strands have finally brought upon me, the death match battle where my coloring it is concerned.

Now even the promise of 100% resistant gray coverage via my bottle of Nice N' Easy (**No commercializing, profiting, advertising is intended**) in  one of their Red shades is doing the trick, anymore.

Sadly, my once gray-free hair (before a second marriage and three kids) is being savagely over-ran with those gray "old-people-maker" warriors. And they are, I'm sorry to announce, winning the fight.

But!!!...Yes, there is a 'but' in this whole mess (besides my own butt)...I will not give up the fight for luxurious, gray-free, red (of some shade or another), multi-highlighted (three shade highlight formula coloring) hair. I will (one day) prevail and take a part of my youth back.

Other that all of that, it's been a pretty good week. And I hope that I have given you a few good chuckles to end out your week. Especially if this one has not been the kindest to you.

Until next time... Oh and if you are in to the Paranormal, ghosts, and hauntings, please feel free to also visit me at my NEW blog page, http://paranormel.blogspot.com/. So far, there is only one entry. But, soon  to be two, being that after this post is entered, I shall be writing in ParanorMel.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Friday, December 18, 2009

Uh yeah. I'm so excited...It's that time of year again. *sigh*

It's time for mistletoe and kisses, wreaths hung on the door, trees with needles that fall everywhere, and wrapping presents for hours on end.

It's also time to drive me freaking I-N-S-A-N-E for the next two weeks, two days, and twenty three hours. Yes, the kids are now on Winter Break...Oh I mean Christmas Break. Damnit!! No, I mean....

Oh bloody hell! It's just pure Make Mama Want To Go Running With Scissors In To A Funny Farm Break.

So far, all of the presents are wrapped. The stockings are hung with care. The tree is decked out. And my Christmas breakables are in plain view as I bite my nails daily as to how many I will be lessened down to before this holiday season is over with.

Did I mention, that today is also my birthday? Yes sir. Or ma'am... I am now thirty three years young. And I was able to celebrate with a school full of children.

There was the school assembly for a Christmas Sing Along. Plus, my running the Class Party in Bryce's class. And helping out to get things in the office distributed, and the kids in line...Literally.

Oh and there were the three boys that in three separate occasions, I had to break up in three separate lines. They had seen the "Mean Mama" side of me. And I think it honestly scared them, being that their mouths were basically dragging on the ground.

Now sadly, the evening of my birthday had been ruined. Not by the kids or the husband. But by Mother Nature herself. No not THAT Mother Nature, silly! S-N-O-W. And lots of it.

Plus, Hayley is with her father for the weekend. So, I'm sort of glad it worked this way. We can go later in the week to celebrate.

Now, if you like reading commentary about different news articles, please stop in and check out my latest blog page, "That's News To Me!". Today is Friday Freak Fest, where I do my opinionated commentary on the news of the weird, strange, freaky and funny. The link is http://newz2mee.blogspot.com/

That's about it for now. Until next time, have a great day/evening!

Friday Fluff

It hit me like a ton of bricks. Literally out of the blue. Why, I have no idea.

When did my life start to speed up?! It's as if it is going a thousand miles an hour. And before long, my road will be ending.

Was it after my mom died and it was just me and Dad? That's when I had to "grow up" at the age of twelve and do many of the house chores that my mom would do. Including cooking and the laundry (which I still hate doing to this day!).

Maybe it was after having a first boyfriend. After all, all us girls think that we are the shnitz when we land a "man" in our teen years.

Or was it after a failed marriage? Boy was a I stupid then! I was so blind, Stevie Wonder could have seen what came, coming along like a train wreck waiting to happen....Oh wait! It WAS a train wreck!!

Holy smokes! I think I got it. I started to get old after having my kids. After all, they are always telling me I'm ancient and that Grandma is REAAAALY old.

In all honesty, it seems that once I hit twenty five, my age started to skyrocket. Every birthday now seems to come faster and faster.

Hell, the last ten years have gone by so fast, it hit me in the face twice. Once with my oldest turning ten. Then, with my mind just racing about how my birthday has once again snuck up on me.

So, with all that in mind, I shall leave you all with the following....
